The six films include ‘Papeli’ (Butterfly) by Mahdi Zamanpoor Kiasari, ‘Light, Shadow, Life’ by Shahriar Pourseyedian, ‘Bakhshi’ by Reza Gholami Motlagh, ‘Off-Key’ by Amir Pourkian, ‘Voice’ by Darioush Najafi Gol (Iran-Azerbaijan), and ‘Overruled’ by Mohammadreza Jurabchian (Iran-Canada).
‘Papeli’ and ‘Off-Key’, along with four other Iranian titles, have also been selected to compete at the 38th edition of Durban International Film Festival held on July 13-23, 2017 in South Africa.
Established in 2005, Kazan Muslim Film Festival is one of the largest film forums held annually in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. The festival focuses on films supporting the ideas of peace-building, tolerance and humanity and promoting intercultural dialogue. The 13th edition of the festival is scheulded for September 5-11, 2017.
